IWC Seven Stars Recommended Ingenieur Engineer Watch IWC launched a new generation of Ingenieur Engineer watches at Watches & Wonders Geneva in 2023, designed by Gérald Genta, returning to the classic ref. 1832 designed by Gérald Genta in the 1970s. The 40mm case combines vertical brushing, circular brushing and mirror polishing, and the carefully reconstructed lines present a softer and smoother outline. The thickness is 10.7mm. The bezel is tightly fixed by 5 screws, and the lug details and H-shaped bracelet adopt a new design that is more ergonomic and can fit the wrist more comfortably. The most special thing about the new work is that the dial reproduces the "grid" decoration used in the original Ingenieur SL. When making it, it is necessary to stamp the iron dial base to form an intaglio pattern, and then galvanize it. The pattern consists of fine lines perpendicular to each other, which are stamped on the soft iron blank and then electroplated. The pattern covers the entire inner area of ​​the dial, while the outer area of ​​the dial surrounding the minute scale remains smooth. The proportions of the IWC logo and its position on the dial have been carefully adjusted to ensure that it is closely aligned with the "grid" pattern. The hour markers coated with luminous material ensure that they are still clear and easy to read at night. The dial adopts a large three-hand layout, and the hour markers and second hands also return to the 70s style, with a calendar window at 3 o'clock and an "ingenieur" logo at 6 o'clock. The new original steel band is molded, and all structures are synchronized with the original. Its materials, workmanship, and wearing feel are 100% synchronized with the original.
